Furniture Packages:
You are probably aware that many re-sale Investment properties here come fully furnished. By this, we mean every stick of furniture, a couple of TVs, usually a VCR, all kitchen appliances, crockery, cutlery, bedding, sheets and towels and often even a BBQ!
This is very un-British, but this is the way it is done here in Florida. If buying a new property, the situation is slightly different in that you will need to purchase a full furniture package to complement the home you have bought.
In this situation, after choosing your building site - called a "lot" and house design / floor-plan, you are whisked off to a design studio to choose your tiles, cabinets, carpets and even your furniture. A design consultant will be assigned to you to help with this.
Even if you are buying a re-sale, you can buy a full or partial furniture package to your exact tastes with the help of a professional interior designer.

The furniture package is delivered and fitted immediately you take possession of the property. This is often described as a “Turnkey” package, in that you arrive with your suitcase, turn the key in the lock and you are “home”. You just bring your toothbrush!
This also means that if you use the property as a rental, you can start earning rent straight away after closing.
